Job Description

The College of Education and Human Development (CoEHD) is recruiting for an Academic Advisor in the College of Education and Human Development Student Success Center. This position will be responsible for assisting with the advisement, recruitment, and retention efforts for students in the College of Education and Human Development (CoEHD). The Academic Advisor 1 is responsible for supporting the mission of the Center to provide all students with clear, current, and accurate information regarding the College academic programs from recruitment through graduation. This includes identifying and contacting prospective students in conjunction with the Office for Prospective Students (OPS), the Transfer Coordinator, and the University Advising Center. The Academic Advisor 1 reports to the Director of Advisement, Recruitment, and Retention.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution with two years of experience, or a Master's Degree and one year of experience in a field related to academic advising or student services.

Academic advising or academic counseling in a higher education setting and demonstrated commitment to promoting equity and inclusion in a higher education setting.
