Job Description Summary

This is a recruitment for a short-term/temporary position. This recruitment will be open until all positions are filled. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis beginning February 13, 2024.

DEFINITION
Under minimal supervision, develop, market, and implement creative and engaging material for Community Programs' summer College for Kids program. Ensure that activities are safely and appropriately implemented for youth in an organized and professional manner.

Essential Functions & Qualifications

Required:

Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of College for Kids students

Desirable:

Teaching and/or work experience in the discipline
Experience working with youth in a camp, daycare, or other educational setting

Additional Information

This is a short-term/temporary position. Students currently enrolled at Cuesta College will be given priority.

Applications and course proposals will be reviewed until the course schedule is set. Placement as a Classroom Facilitator I, II, or III will be based on experience in the College for Kids program and/or other comparable work experience. This assignment has no guaranteed pay or hours and will start only after hiring and course enrollment requirements are met.
